A sweet and nutty homemade treat perfect for spooning over yogurt, ice cream, or enjoying on its own!
🧾 Ingredients:
6 Fuji apples (peeled and sliced or diced)
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 cinnamon stick
3–4 cloves
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/3 cup raisins
Optional: a dash of vanilla extract or lemon zest for extra aroma

Prepare the apples:
Slice or dice the apples and toss them in lemon juice to prevent browning.Make the syrup:
In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the syrup begins to gently boil.Cook the apples:
Add the apples to the syrup and cook over low heat for 10–15 minutes until the apples soften but retain their shape.Add walnuts and raisins:
Stir in the chopped walnuts and raisins, and cook for another 5 minutes to let the flavors meld.Flavoring:
Add a dash of vanilla or some lemon zest at the end if desired for extra aroma.Storage:
Let it cool and transfer to clean jars. It can be stored in the refrigerator for 2–3 weeks.
